Exceedingly decorative 19th century Italian Majolica hand painted earthenware vase lamp in the style of Domenico Venezia workshop

The vase painted in vivid colourful scrolling acanthus foliage and flower heads with wreath medallion portrait depicting a classical figure of a woman likely a member of Venetian aristocracy.

Vase newly converted to lamp with side entry stem, bayonet bulb holder and twisted flex.
